About Daniel Aznar

Daniel Aznar is a Spanish engineer based in Valencia, and the founder and author of Spain Living Guide. This site is his independent research project. He is not a lawyer, a tax adviser, or an immigration consultant, and every article says so plainly.

He started it after working through Spanish bureaucracy for himself and finding that what English speakers actually needed was scattered across government portals, outdated forum threads, and pages that quietly contradicted each other. The site organises that research in one place and always points back to the official source.

What the site covers

• Taxation: IRPF for foreign residents, non-resident taxes, wealth tax, double taxation treaties, and the tax side of the Digital Nomad Visa
• Residency: the visa routes that remain after the Golden Visa closed, and the NIE, TIE, and empadronamiento paperwork behind them

How it is written

Every rate, deadline, and legal requirement links to its source at the Agencia Tributaria, the Boletín Oficial del Estado, or the relevant ministry, so readers can check it themselves. Where something turns out to be wrong, it gets corrected rather than left in place.
